My jewelry adventure began in 1982 with my first job in the industry. I worked at Indian Jewelers Supply Company as a Findings Manager and at the time I didn’t even know what a finding was! I learned a lot in the 9+ years working there, then moved on to a retail jewelry store in Albuquerque, New Mexico specializing in Native American jewelry, pottery, and other items.
I continued my path and joined Rio Grande Jewelers Supply and enjoyed a long tenure there. Following this very rewarding position, I took my experience to Swest, a jewelry supply company in Dallas, Texas owned by Stuller Settings. Stuller shuttered Swest after a few years then I found my way to Beadalon. I recently retired from Beadalon after an amazing 20 years.
In the many years I’ve been in the industry, I became a professional pearl knotter, jewelry designer, product manager, and instructor at many trade shows and events. I developed new tools, findings and other items for use by jewelers of all levels. I am inventor of record on two jewelry-tool patents. It’s been an amazing career that continues!
I am fortunate to still be developing and creating new and different ways of utilizing wire wrapping. I have a Jewelry Television streaming show on Fridays and often am on their Broadcast shows. I own and operate Two Fabulous with my Partner Fernando DaSilva where we design, create, share, and provide traveling “Jewelry Adventures,” taking makers to fun and interesting destinations. I am told that my classes are both fun and very informative. Come join me and my fabulous friends for this workshop and some really fun extracurricular activities beachside.
